Forget the stress of hosting at home—The Peacock Estate (formerly The Busy Peacock) is the Mornington Peninsula’s favorite destination for kids’ parties. We make celebrations as easy for parents as they are exciting for children. Located in the heart of Tyabb, our estate offers a unique, rustic charm where kids can truly be kids, and parents can actually sit back and enjoy the moment.

Whether you’re dreaming of a cozy indoor gathering or an energetic outdoor celebration, we provide the flexibility and space to bring your vision to life without the hassle of a cramped living room or post party clean up covering the entire house.

Flexible Party Hire to Suit Your Style

We provide the beautiful backdrop; you bring the vision! To keep things easy and affordable, we offer three distinct spaces for hire for 3 or 5 hour day hire. 

The Old Church

Full of character and perfect for indoor parties. With its crisp white walls, this space provides a modern yet charming backdrop. It features heating and cooling, with enough height and space to fit a jumping castle or soft play setup. Approx capacity up to 60

Stunning 100+ year old church hall, perfect for your kids next birthday party, baby shower or christening.  

The Barn

A rustic favorite for a classic Peninsula party vibe. This is our largest space and is ideal for full-day hire, including use of the courtyard. The Barn is large enough for a jumping castle and soft play indoors, and the outdoor bar can be booked as an additional feature. Approx capacity up to 80 (80-120 guests may require exclusive use)

A more rustic vibe, our barn is great for parties for the young and young at heart or when adults might want a sneaky beverage out in the sun.

The Old School

Designed specifically with little ones in mind, this space offers the best of both worlds. Inside, you’ll find climate-controlled comfort perfect for soft play. Double doors lead out to a barked play area featuring a cubby house and picnic tables, all connected by a deck with seating. Kitchen use is included with this space. Approx Capacity up to 60

Great for larger groups who want to enjoy an indoor & outdoor gathering.

DIY Catering & Refreshments

We keep things flexible so you can manage your budget your way. You are more than welcome to self-cater your event and bring your own non-alcoholic drinks.

If you’d like to share a glass of bubbles or a cold beer with your adult guests, we’ve got you covered! While we do not allow BYO alcohol for kids parties, beer and wine can be purchased directly by your guests or hosted via a pre-arranged bar tab along with barista made tea and coffee.

The first time I viewed the The Peacock Estate, I knew it was where I would get married It was the perfect venue for us. It had the intimate, laid back vibes we wanted and an amazing all-in-one layout. The chapel is over 100 years old and is so sweet and picturesque.
